Whether it is a man or woman, both have a specific set of health disorders.
While they have many concerns in common, some may affect women's health
differently. For instance, the symptoms of a heart disease in men vary
remarkably from those of a woman. Other than common health problems such
as osteoarthritis, depression and obesity, women's health is also greatly
affected by a number of sexual disorders such as menopause, infertility,
sexually transmitted diseases and menstrual cramps. Since women often
overlook their own sexual health and prefer to focus on their partner's
health and children, even a minuscule sexual disorder develops into a
major hitch. Below is short account of some women's sexual health problems
which can fuel more bliss into a woman's life if treated well and on time:
Infertility- Infertility is a condition wherein a woman
is incapable of getting pregnant despite a year of efforts. Besides, women
who are capable of getting pregnant but experience regular miscarriages
are also defined infertile. Infertility occurs because of the glut of
factors, including problems pertaining to ovulation, blocked fallopian
tubes due to pelvic inflammatory disease and endometriosis, physical problems
related to the uterus, and uterine fibroids. Other than these factors,
there are few other things that enhance the likelihood of infertility
in women. They include age, poor diet, stress, tobacco smoking, alcohol,
sexually transmitted diseases, and obesity.
Treatment
Infertility is treated with the help of fertility-enhancing medicines
like Clomiphene citrate (Clomid), artificial insemination, surgery and
assisted reproductive technology (ART). In most of the cases, drugs and
surgery are profoundly preferred and utilized.
Menopause- It is one another common health concern which
perturbs women's health at large. Menopause is a state wherein a woman
does not experience the monthly bleeding. It generally occurs after the
age of 45 in women. Menopause simply happens when the woman's ovary discontinues
the production of estrogen and progesterone hormones. The symptoms of
the menopause may start to appear even several years before its actual
commencement. They are as follows:

Though menopause is not a disorder, yet its severe symptoms can lead to

a healthy diet.
Menstrual cramps- Under this condition, women complain
of having severe cramps while menstruation. Menstrual cramps are categorized
into two norms, primary dysmenorrhea and secondary dysmenorrhea. While
primary dysmenorrhea stands for the pain that recurs regularly or within
a year or two of the initiation of puberty, secondary dysmenorrhea is
a pain which happens years after the commencement of periods. Women who
suffer from dysmenorrhea are usually found fertile. And the severity of
dysmenorrhea's symptoms varies significantly from woman to woman.
Sexually-transmitted diseases (STDs) - Hailed also as
sexually transmitted infections, STDs are basically infections that one
get attain by having sex with an infected person. They are caused by bacteria,
viruses and parasites. Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Herpes Simplex, AIDS and
Syphilis are some of the common STDs that afflict women's sexual health
at great.
Treatment- STDs caused by bacteria and parasites can
be treated easily with several antibiotics and other preparations. But
in case of STDs resulted by a virus, there is no cure available. Such
STDs can only be controlled with certain medicines but can't be treated
overall.
